Sony have done everything in their power in recent years to turn around their sales and releasing new flagship smartphones seems to be a route that seem to regularly take – sadly not reaping the results that they had perhaps been looking for.
Will the expected launch of the new Xperia Z6 that is expected to take place at the upcoming MWC2016 change all that?
It is certainly hoped so but the fact that the latest launch comes just six months after the launch of the Z5 has left many people raising their eyebrows.
So what can we expect from Sony?
The Xperia Z5’s Premium 4K display proved to be very popular and was a key feature so we can probably expect that to stay or if not a new and improved version.
It seems that many manufacturers are trying to introduce pressure sensitive displays and indeed Sony is no different with new Z6 expected to have this feature.
Other specs will include a Snapdragon 820 chip making it potentially one of the quickest devices on the market.
It is also rumoured that there will be more than one version of the phone with some people claiming that this could be as many as five different versions.
Not content with just this, they are also considering launching the Xperia C6, a mid-range 5.5 inch Full HD handset with a unique edge to edge display.
On top of that there are also rumours about a tablet and a smartwatch – who says that Sony don’t move quickly! All this could potentially be launched at the MWC2016 so they will certainly be kept busy!
