A new hands-free automatic toothbrush called Amabrush could clean your teeth in just 10 seconds.
The new tool looks like a mouth guard and all users need to do is put it in the mouth and turn it on.
It vibrates and dispenses toothpaste cleaning every tooth at the same time, according to the makers.
Kickstarter who developed the brush said, “Even in this 10 seconds, every tooth surface is cleaned longer compared with common toothbrushes.
If you brush your teeth for the recommended 120 seconds with a regular toothbrush, every surface gets brushed for just 1.25 seconds. Amabrush brushes all your surfaces for the whole 10 seconds.”
The brand was launched thanks to a crowd funding campaign and the company more than trebled the amount that they were asking for, €50,000 (THB2 million).
It is expected that the first products will be shipped as early as October and will cost between €69 and €199 (THB2700 and THB7800). The mouthpiece, that needs replacing every three to six months, costs just €6 (THB240).
The Amabrush will need its own special toothpaste that will be manufactured by a company with “a history of over 100 years”, although who it actually is has not yet been revealed. The replacement toothpaste will cost €3 (THB120).
Amabrush is the brainchild of a team of entrepreneurs based in Austria, Germany and the US. Marvin Musialek, Amabrush founder, created the first prototype in 2015.
Since then it has received backing from the Austrian Government, private institutions and the European Commission.
