Yelp today has just become one of the dozens of companies that have launched new apps for Apple Watch. In a blog post on the company’s website, the ratings and reviews app shared the first screenshots of its new Apple Watch app. The Yelp app, even though running on the watch, provides most of the information you’re used to seeing on the company’s other iOS apps.

On Apple Watch, Yelp also shows nearby bars, restaurants, coffee shops and many other businesses with their ratings, reviews, price and distance from your current location. The main interface shows four options – restaurants, bars, coffee & tea, and hot & new locations. Just tap on one to take you to the next screen with nearby results according to your chosen criteria.
“The millions of Yelpers who help you navigate everything from date night planning to finding a dentist are now piling into the hottest little accessory on your radiocarpal joint: the Apple Watch.
In this new world where your wrist is the landscape, Yelp steps up once again as your trusted compass. Now it’s even easier to access local business information when you need it most – while out and about looking for a place to grab a bite, meet a friend, or find the closest mood-boosting latte” – Yelp
And in related news, Yahoo has also released updates to four of its apps that will also add Apple Watch support – including Yahoo Weather, Yahoo Sports Fantasy, Yahoo News Digest, and Yahoo News Hong Kong. 1Password and Workflow have also both just added Apple Watch support. Pandora, the popular music streaming service, announced plans to support Apple Watch, and a lot of other health-based apps too. So it seems that list is rapidly growing.
